How I Fix my Zinox Laptop Beep Sound

It was really crazy hearing this Beep Sound coming out from your laptop. I just resume in the office where I work, brought out my system to work, then the beep sound started. I had to shut it down forcefully, by pressing and holding the power button. The sound was not pleasing at all to my colleague around. It was indeed disturbing the day's work. I was not happy about it, for i later fix it. This was my experience and journey why trying to fix this issues.


At first i was confuse knowing fully well that i used the system late last night before sleeping and it was working  very well.

Quickly i started troubleshooting and finding out the possible problem to this issues on line. This was my suggestions;

• Motherboard could have being the problem
• RAM or
• CPU

After going through many online guide about this beep sound i stop at  CCM.Net
with a post about; "How To Recognize Computer Beep". And this was their suggestion:

A very short beep is indicative of a problem with your motherboard. It can also mean that you have a problem with your system memory (BIOS AWARD).

A long beep followed by three sequential short beeps signals an issue linked to your graphics card configurations.

A short beep followed by three sequential long beeps means that you have a problem with your system memory.

If you are hearing beep, pause, beep, pause, followed by two sequential beeps, the error is linked to your CPU (central processing unit).

Three beeps, pause, three beeps, pause, followed by four beeps indicates an issue with video memory.

One long beep and nine short beeps means there is a problem with the ROM (BIOS AWARD).

Three beeps, pause, four beeps, pause, followed by a beep signals an error with your graphics card.

Four beeps, pause, three beeps, pause, and then one beep indicates a system memory problem.

Five short beeps is another indication of issues with your CPU.

Long, constant beeps alert system memory problems.

Beeps After Launch

If your PC beeps after your OS has been launched, it could be an indication that your CPU is overheating. If not addressed immediately, this could be potentially damaging to your system. Clear space away from your computer, and make sure that your PC fan is running.

After reading through, the last point flash an idea to check if my laptop fan was working; I quickly check and notice it was not working;

How I Fix IT

• I loose the system ( It was my first attempt)

 

• Locate where the fan (cooler) was and remove the nut around it

• Then I blow air into the fan. I also remove the white cylinder around the fan then i notice a cotton was inside the vet which was stopping cooler to work.

This was the black cotton that stop the cooler from working

After clean and removing the cotton from the vet I couple the fan back to it normal position and close the system cover.


Then i boot the system and realize the issues have being result thats when i Place my conclusion that it was Over heating from the system that cause the problem.


Finally, this was my experience when i try to fix this beep sound problem. Please note that if you are not sure of taking the courage to touch any nut inside your laptop it advice that you take it to a well experience technician to handle it.
