Airtel is sending a text to some eligible customers. The message reads;

Over 5.5GB FREE DATA waiting for you! Dial  *440*16# to get 5GB Monthly for N1500 or dial *437# to get 7GB at N2000. For more options,  Dial *144#.

If you received the text message, then you are eligible for the data. You can go ahead and subscribe for the data.

On the off chance you didn't receive the text message, you can check your eligibility status by dialing *440*16#. If you get a reply of insufficient balance, then you are eligible. But if you receive any other message apart from that, I'm sorry, you need to try another Airtel SIM.

How To Subscribe To Airtel 5.5GB and 7GB Data

1. After confirming your eligibility status, kindly follow this steps to subscribe for the data.
2. Recharge your line with the required amount.
3. Now dial *440*16# for the 5.5GB data or *437# for the 7GB data
4. You will receive a confirmation message for a successful data activation.
